10 years after the very first release ('overrated' - moloko+ rds
- 1998), mimetic and les arts minis are publishing the birthday
book, 160 pages colour printed with a double cover mat silver
and brilliant orange containing 2 mcds (mini-max 3") with 10
unreleased tracks, more than 700 photos and texts in english &
french languages by mimetic and international guests. 2 mcds: 40
minutes of music have been composed exclusively with auto
samplings from all other mimetic releases... the result is a
strange mixture of electronica, ambient, experimental and weird
danceable atmospheres with the use of deep sounds and complexes
rhythms reflecting the main character of the last 10 years of
mimetic work. the book: international guest are giving their
personal point on view on mimetic in different forms (poetry,
prose or journalistic style). christian zanesi wrote the
preface. this well-known electroacoustic music composer and
co-director of the grm (groupe de recherches musicales)
ina/radio france is also artistic director of presence
electroniques festival where mimetic was invited in 2007. other
